Medium Voltage Electrical Engineer

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Primary Purpose:
Integrate into client team and aid the current engineering team in their project delivery.
•    Medium Voltage background as it relates to P&ID development.  (someone that could work with a team of designers to get the documents created)
•    Understanding of industrial requirements (placement of components as it relates to accessibility, voltage, heat, etc.)
•    Understanding of component selection (we want them to create the panel drawing, schematic, and BOM)
•    Understanding of electrical design for Power in a production facility.
 The Electrical Engineering team needs to have the confidence they are handing off the job to a designer not a draftsperson. The role is a specialist engineering role with goal of safe power management in a consumable product manufacturing facility at the client’s location.
Responsibilities:
    To assist and support the engineering team with drawings, transmittals, shipping lists, instrument/component tag lists and special projects. As well as monitor hours to ensure the budget is maintained on projects. 
    Take ownership of projects and or assignment. Maintain required coordination with internal and external customers when assigned, to assure adherence to customer specifications, engineering, and manufacturing requirements. Help establish and maintain drafting records.
    Work with project team to generate a variety of clear, complete, and accurate drawing documents for the project while staying on time and on budget.
    Layout and design company drawing documents, following customer, engineering and manufacturing specifications.
    Checking design packages of self and others to ensure design is of high quality and is optimized for fabrication.
    Communicate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve design and fabrication problems.
    Collaborate with team members to create electrical drawing standards to better improve accuracy, standardization, and time efficiency.

Qualification:

Education, Experience, Qualities and Skills Required:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
    10+ years’ experience in required, including experience automation instrumentation design
    Lean Six Sigma Experience desirable
    Strong time management skills
