Engineer, Hardware Safety Mechanical

 Job Description: Complete seat Engineer
 

• Experienced professional in Safety Electronics packaging and mechanical development
• Responsible for design release of Safety Electronics hardware. 
• Support Design Engineers in the mechanical integration and release of Safety Electronics components. 
• Maintain PLM data for Safety Electronic Components. 
• Work closely with the design studio and interior engineering teams to develop the optimum restraint system packages for occupant protection performance and interior styling. 
• Manage Tier 1 suppliers for both engineering development and program timing. 
• Work closely with supply chain team to deliver against key program and vehicle milestones. 
• Responsible for definition of electrical interface documentation, connector selection, pinout etc. 
• Work closely with vehicle electrical harness team to integrate the safety sub-system into vehicle overall electrical architecture. 
• Support vehicle homologation team to ensure regulatory compliance of the systems. 
• Provide expertise on Safety Electronics system design to meet all vehicle targets
• Enough CAD skills to package the component models into vehicle models, check interfaces with the rest of the vehicle and make small modifications if necessary

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
