Job Description:                                                                     

  • To perform formability analysis on BIW Class A, B and C panels specifically in in Automotive products (truck or passenger vehicles).
  • To report feasibility for Manufacturing based on all parameters.
  • To interpret and recommend necessary product/ Process changes based on the results.
  • To envisage and create/ recommend preliminary process plan.
  • To execute projects with required quality and delivery schedules
  • To coordinate with customer for input collection and query clarifications for effective execution and completion of projects
  • To work with cross-functional teams for design reviews & effective project execution
  • To make sure the quality of the deliverables before final submission to customer

 

Skills:   

  • 3-5 years of experience in Formability Analysis of BIW (Body-in-White) components.
  • Expertise in Autoform R10 (Die Designer module, Simulation Setup and Evaluation)
  • Must have 3+ years of experience in surface modelling using CAD packages preferably CATIA.
  • Ability to create/ Optimise die faces based on existing/ new parts.
  • Ability to Understand and Create/ Optimise product features/ process features based on all BIW parts regardless of complexity in product.
  • Ability to understand/ Interpret results namely, FLD, Wrinkling, Thinning, Major/Minor Stress, and strain, Buckling, Skid line Optimisation, as applicable to specific panels.
  • Ability to perform variability study and reporting results on reliability and robustness of the product/ Process.
  • Experience in developing draw form surfaces and stamping process (method plan) in Autoform
  • Ability to understand all feature and importance of all holes based on the concept drawings/ Benchmarking data and prior experience.
  • Capable of offering various concept designs and solutions to the design problems by considering DFM/DFA principles.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and consistent ability to achieve deadlines under pressure.
  • Good knowledge on sheet metal basics and Sheet Metal Dies.
  • Able to re-create Die faces from existing Die faces surface from point data and surfaces is a bonus.
  • Experience in Product and Die Design for BIW (Body-in-White) components is a bonus.
  • Effective communication skills and preferred to have Japanese speaking or basic understanding.
