  1. Overview 

The purpose of this work package is to provide Electrical Engineering, design and production support for various military product lines in Vandalia, OH.

 

  1. Description

GE Aviation requires 1 full-time Electrical Engineer, Jan 2023, through Dec 2023, who will:

 

  • Take direction from the electrical design leads and Production Support Engineering Manager, Lead design and redesign projects.
      • Redesign circuits with obsolete components or other supplier quality problems.
      • Support product design, assembly, and test issues.
      • Lead root cause corrective analysis (RCCA) and root cause analysis (RCA).
      • Interpret the ATP procedures and resolve ATP failures.
      • Support writing detailed test reports.
      • Author MRB and EC documentation and support the processes.
      • Supports technical analysis/feasibility, product repair and evaluations.
      • Support supplier quality issue resolution from technical perspective.
  1. Requirements

The following skills are required for this resource:

 

  • Capable of designing analog and digital electronic circuits.  
  • Capable of designing switching mode power supplies.
  • Experience with Power electronics  
  • DO-160 or equivalent experience (vibe, acceleration, temperature, variation, etc)
  • Design knowledge of electrical power systems, and general power AC/DC conversation.
  • Knowledge of systems verification, preferred Aviation/Medical/Safety Critical applications.
  • Hands on experience with CCA design, layout, and typical failures.
  • Familiar with EMI, Electrical measurement, reliability testing equipment and processes.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced flexible work environment and help improve process where able
  • 5-20 years relevant electrical engineering experience

 

  1. Deliverables

The electrical engineer shall be responsible to deliver:

 

  • RCCA and RCA findings
  • Data analysis.
  • Demonstrates operational discipline and ownership

 

  • Technical issue resolution updates and schedules.
  • Interfaces effectively with people at all levels and from diverse technical backgrounds
  • Initiate MRB app •        Capable of designing roval;
  • Initiate ECs.
  1. KPIs / Metrics
  • Technical issue resolution turnaround time as defined by the PSE team.

 

  1. Schedule

·     Provider FTEs engaged in providing the services under this SOW shall work on-site on a first shift or second shift basis of 8 hours per day, with breaks for meals.

Period of performance is planned for Jan 3rd, 2023, through Dec 22, 2023

·     The coverage timings shall be 5 days a week (Monday – Friday)

·      Provider FTEs engaged in providing services under this SOW shall work on all weekdays except on such days, which mutually acceptable to both Parties.

  • Standard working days for any FTE in any year shall not exceed 225 days (or 1800 hrs).
  • Occasional remote support is acceptable with PSE manager’s approval.

 

  1. Communication
  • Daily coordination with Vandalia functional team leads, such as Quality, Supplier Quality, Operation, Supply Chain, Final Testing, Product Development Lab (PDL), Services, Program Management, etc.
  • Weekly project management team to coordinate team activates and review milestones.
