SYSTEM ENGINEER - HVAC SYSTEMS

•    At least 7+ years of System engineering experience in HVAC system concepts, new product development
•    Expertise in conducting system architecture studies, designing product families, and developing and executing qualification strategies
•    Familiarity with Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration systems desired and simulation of HVAC systems and components
•    Experience in any of the following engineering functions:  Design, development, Reliability, validation and MATLAB or Dymola tool knowledge preferred
•    Applies research and studies to the overall commercial HVAC system concept and integration, including key components and qualifications by working with engineering and cross-functional colleagues.
•    Conduct design evaluation, bench-marking, supplier evaluation, project tracking, and component qualification and components
•    Leads product concept selections, system integration, design, layout, development, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices, systems, sub-systems, and controls, while meeting standards of regulations, safety, quality, and other KPIs.
•    Implements strategy for product development activities including engineering studies, feasibility studies, cost estimates, implementation of the standard and non-standard specifications, and development of performance or maintenance requirements.
•    Executes tests and qualifications for systems, sub-systems, and components. Review test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and direct modification of equipment to meet specifications.
•    Makes and implements recommendations for improvements in product design (new and existing) and engineering productivity.
•    Develops and tests models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operating condition effects and possible new applications.
•    Provides support and guidance on existing products. Communicates and collaborates with the quality clinic and related departments to ensure product quality.
•    Works with managers and technical fellows to mentor and coach early career engineers for their technical expertise and career development
•    Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentorship skills
•    Experience in ASHRAE/AHRI committees preferred
•    Experience in technical leadership (guiding junior engineers, leading technical peer-to-peer reviews, etc.) supporting team members with executing projects desired
