Role : Quality Engineer
Resource will be part of Quality engineering (QE) team.
Quality team will be responsible for all areas of quality during the prototype, pilot, and production handoff phases of the project, the quality engineering resources will develop and implement the needed processes, systems, and standards for the facility start-up.  Resource will also be expected to support other QE related activities for the product launch at the new facility. The work will be done in collaboration with the Project Operations Team.
The work will be part of a larger team, requiring high levels of collaboration and teamwork.  Key tasks will be assigned and include, but be not limited to, the activities listed below.

Services or Detailed Task/Work Requirements
•    Facility Start Up: Assist in the stand-up of the new production operations including troubleshooting product and process issues and working with the new team on continuous improvement.
•    Quality Management System (QMS) Development: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality management system (QMS), ensuring quality inputs to the operation as well as quality outputs in line with quality KPIs.
•    Quality System Ownership: Fully own the quality processes by developing, validating, and implementing needed processes, systems, and procedures for in-process validation (IPVs), pre-delivery inspection (PDI), and other needed work instructions. Drive all relevant functions towards 100% robustness in meeting specifications / performance requirements.
•    Zero-Defect Culture Ownership: Develop, validate, and execute zero-defect roadmaps with support from cross-functional teams and subject matter experts. Ensure the needed control plans are developed, validated, and implemented for product-related processes. Participate in the development and ongoing ownership of the Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for the facility.
•    Process Development & Implementation: Develop, validate, and implement processes, standards, and procedures for testing and validating new processes and technology. This work will include reviewing requirements and translating these requirements into operational standards, procedures, and controls. Process areas will include specifying torqueing tools as well as inspection, rework, and containment.
•    Data Ownership: Develop, validate, and implement the needed processes and supporting data for work element times for quality inspections and for torque planning for all fasteners and critical joints. Develop, validate, and enter the needed quality-related information needed in ProPlanner™.
•    Process Auditing: Audit engineering and project management work products for clarity, completeness, and compliance. The quality team will be expected to work closely with purchasing and to own the incoming quality inspection process.
•    Facility Testing: Develop, validate, and execute the testing plan for vehicle test, road test, dynamometer test, jounce table test and water/leak test.
•    APQP Ownership: As part of the APQP process, review customer quality agreements and requirements for deployment within the process, develop and execute the required PPAP validation plans, and fulfil our customers' Quality System requirements (APQP, VDA, etc.).
•    Quality Training: Develop and conduct required training for PDI, vehicle test, and in-process technicians.
