    Educated to a minimum of degree level.
    Experience of leading teams. 
    Understanding of engine / diesel application and associated Fuel Injection Equipment
    Have 3 or more years of OBD experience 
    Understanding of OBD scan tool communication protocols 
    Excellent technical abilities within an embedded software development in an automotive environment. (Cross competency understanding)
    First-rate understanding of engineering processes
    Proven coaching, mentoring and problem-solving skills
    Presentations to team and customer
    Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills (verbal and written) 
    Customer interface expertise
    Good working knowledge of Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow 

Responsibilities:
o Provide a technical interface internally and externally 
o Capture and analyze customer requirements (internal & external).
o Definition and review of system requirements including sensors/actuators, control strategies, emission control strategies, and OBD
o Perform System analysis (formal design reviews, FMEA)
o Perform OBD analysis (OBD requirements analysis, review of OBD and emission control strategies, fault tree analysis, and modules interactions with Diagnostics manager and OBD communication protocols)
o Perform AECD analysis and documentation 
o Technically lead, coach and mentor a team of systems engineers in multiple project activities
o Provide resource and planning estimates to Project Management (against agreed quality, cost and delivery schedules)
o Report team activities and status at regular team meetings
o Report project progress / risks to the Project Manager as required
o Report team activity, task and risk management via Checkpoint Report.
o Problem ownership / issue management
o Task management for the systems team
o Configuration management, Management of the team’s work products.
o Performance management of team members.
