Job Description & Skill Requirement:
• Subject Matter Expert role in advanced processes impacting metallurgical surface or structure material changes (Titanium focused but not limited to).
• Will be leading electro-polishing, vibro-abrasive treatment, shot peening processes to refine surfaces and improve material properties.
• Expertise and lead process engineer for Ti Powder Plasma and Hydroxyapatite Coating processes. Will prepare materials for coating applications and ensure compliance with coating processes.
• Conduct solutions testing and propose new or improved methods. Deep dive to details.
• Create URS (User Requirements Specification) for new machines and equipment, and oversee their procurement, commissioning and installation on destinated plant floor.
• Create or update equipment operating procedures, work instructions and process description documentation and release to Quality System.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve and maintain surface quality and structural integrity through various chemical and mechanical processes
• Collaborate with quality assurance, engineering, and production teams to implement process improvements.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain detailed records of process performance and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including ISO 13485 and GMP standards.
• Responsible to create documentation including Process Description, Work Instruction, Manuals, Gauge Operating Procedures and provide training to operators.
• Validation protocols preparation support and leading role in execution reports on floor.
• Train and guide other team members on coating protocols and safety procedures.
• Participate in PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), Control Plan, SOP (Start of Production) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) (Stryker internal process qualification generation associated with product transfers and launches).
Qualification:
- 'Bachelor’s Degree - metallurgy, material science
- Master’s Degree - metallurgy, material science
- PhD Degree - metallurgy, material science
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical or technology related field required. Preferred Advanced degree (Master’s Degree or Ph.D.) - metallurgy, material science
