The role of welding digital instruction specialist will be responsible for researching current best manufacturing methods to be documented - writing, editing, and revising, digital based, technical documentation for processes and tasks completed in the welding cells.
Primary responsibilities that will be performed by this job.
•Creates and revises technical documentation that will support the production, training,quality of company products.
•Analyzes and interprets welding operator’s processes as well as other technical data totranslate information into technical documentation.
•Communicates with cross functional groups including, but not limited to: Tooling, Quality,Welding.
•Proofreads and edits documents to ensure information is complete and up to date.
•Works closely with welding personnel, operations managers, weld engineers, andengineering techs to clarify and create technical documentation of sound welding processes.
•Conducts independent in-depth research into models through, part drawings, and processobservation to create literature with minimal reliance on SMEs (subject matter experts).
•Ensures consistency in documentation regarding terminology, style and editorial qualitystandards.
•Some system implementations or troubleshooting related tasks.

The minimum education and experience required to successfully perform the essential functions. Preferred requirements can also be included in this section.
•High school diploma or GED (Required).
•Experience developing manuals, user guides, and/or product specifications (Required).
•Experience with manufacturing process improvements and lean manufacturingmethodologies (Preferred).
•General understanding of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes (Preferred).
•Familiarity with welding data monitoring, process workflow, and guidance systems like MillerInsight Centerpoint or Lincoln Weld Sequencer (Preferred).
•Intermediate understanding of managing model configurations and evaluation of premademodels in Solidworks (Preferred).

Skills, abilities, or special licenses needed to perform the job (software, professional certifications, drivers’ license, languages, etc.)
•Excellent grammar, verbal and written communication skills
•Technical understanding. Basic mechanical systems knowledge is preferred
•Knowledge and application of standard document formatting
•Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods and principles
•Communicates complex information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
•Ability to work independently, organize assigned work, and manage time is imperative
•Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
•Knowledge of 3d modeling software like Autocad, Fusion 360, or Solidworks
