Global Trade Specialist
• Asia wide focus, working with and in multiple Asian countries customs environment.
• Work in partnership with global and regional business stakeholders to support the execution of the Global Trade strategy
• Support Asia regional Compliance and duty management programs including (but not limited to) import/export operations, import and export classification, relevant Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Origin and Preference determination of parts manufactured by our factories, Valuation, and other programs
• Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all import and export trade related matters.
• Conduct Post Audit of Import Decs lodged in Asia to verify they are accurate.
• Train regional business partners on relevant trade related topics and act as the champion for special duty savings programs.
• Apply for various Government permits where needed to facilitate seamless exports and imports.
• Support the India business on Customs audits and/or any other relevant government agency inquiries.
• Manage activities of regional customs brokers to ensure timely border clearance.
• Analyze operational and compliance metrics and implement improvements where required.
• Conduct business reviews with regional stakeholders on an ongoing basis to drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as the regional focal point to support key cross-functional global initiatives and new strategy deployments.
• Liaise with other global trade team members to drive consistency of our global trade operations and strategies.
• Own, Calculate and publish monthly metrics on cycle time and other related KPIs.
• Assist in reporting, working with spreadsheets and data analytics to the larger Trade team.
