Job title: Design Engineer

Job location: Edison, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the US. Travel and relocation required.

Job duration: Permanent position, Full time, Mon - Fri, 40 hours per week.

Number of positions: 5.

Wage: $114,525.00/year

Job description: Design large transmission housings, gears, splines, bearing carriers for tractors. Create 3D CAD models & 2D engineering drawings using Solidworks, FourthShift, Catia, PTC Creo Parametric, Teamcenter, considering stress flow directions, electrical/hydraulic component interfaces & calculate gear & spline teeth data based on load cases. Participate in root cause analysis, problems & issue resolution. Calculate tolerance stack-up assemblies making sure individual components tolerances are within acceptable transmission assembly range for mass production. Coordinate with analysis team to check the feasibility of newly designed components and subsystems, as well as provide support during prototypes, pre-builds, final release of master models in the system.

Education and experience required: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Design or Industrial or Mechanical Engineering plus 2 years' experience as a Design or Industrial or Mechanical Engineer. The 2 years of experience must include 1 year using Solidworks, FourthShift, Catia, PTC Creo Parametric, Teamcenter. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) earned through any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service. All experience may be acquired concurrently.
