Design Engineer

Design Engineer (full-time, multiple openings)

L&T Technology Services Ltd. is in need of Design Engineer(s) in Edison, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the US to design and develop new concepts for various planter sub-systems. Participate in root cause analysis, problems and issue resolution. Coordinate with analysis team to check the feasibility of newly designed components and sub systems, as well as provide support during prototypes, pre-builds, and final release of master models in the system. Understand the specification gathered and define the technical specification for the features. Design and development of the data shipper module about the system activity from the device to the cloud. Integrate the 3rd-party building and control networks (BACnet) application to the lighting system to update the status of user activity. Coordinate with architecture team to check the feasibility of the new design with the existing software infrastructure. Coordinate with the offshore team and provide guidance in implementation and review the developed code. Work with the test team to capture all the test cases for complete coverage. Work with release manager to roll out the feature to the end customer and get the feedback. Set up an automation environment to trigger a release build and make sure the feature is tested and also addressed all the feedback received from all stages (system testing, alpha and beta). Identifying the root cause for the returned products by analyzing the hardware for any faults or component damage. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any) or related field, plus two years of engineering experience. The two years of engineering experience must include one year of experience using Jenkins, Python, SQL, DALI, and Miro board. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) earned through any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and relocation required. International travel is not required.
