Design Engineer(s) (full-time, multiple openings)

L&T Technology Services Ltd. is in need of Design Engineer(s) in Edison, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the US to design and develop new concepts. Participate in root cause analysis, problems and issue resolution. Check the feasibility of newly designed components and sub systems, as well as provide support during prototypes, pre-builds, and final release of master models in the system. Design and develop new concepts in plastic products in the automotive industry. Design and develop plastic, fabric parts for automobile interiors. Problem solve and analyze design failures / issues during manufacturing. Conduct tests to validate designs, suggest improvements in pre-build stage. Conduct feasibility study to ensure production of new components. Ensuring components fit within the vehicle's body-in-white (BIW) and can be assembled on the production line. Perform engineering calculations and material selection to meet structural, safety and regulatory requirements. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any) or related field, plus two years of engineering experience. The two years of engineering experience must include one year of experience using Unigraphics (NX), Teamcenter (PLM), Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering). In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) earned through any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Standard benefits will be offered. Domestic travel and relocation is required.
