Short Description for Integration Engineers
The Cloud Solutions Integration Engineer (SE) is a ‘hands-on’ role where the engineer will engage in delivery of Nokia Cloud NCP platform. NCP is based on RedHat OpenShift platform and experience in end / end delivery of OpenShift (OCP) in a customer telecom network is required.
Responsibilities
Reviews customer specific cloud architecture (NCP, OCP.) high-level solution design (HLD).
Reviews LLD (Low Level Design) in close partnership with Network planning / design team and Customer
Deep understanding of network design and the ability to support the IP Planner with Cloud IP connectivity requirements.
Engages in ‘hands on’ delivery activities with Cloud Integrators. Provider expert leadership in deployment and troubleshooting.
Support the ATP and Operational testing of Cloud platform
Support onboarding on CNF and VNF applications.
Perform Scale-out and Scale-in activities.
Knowledge & Experience
Strong Experience / Mastery of Cloud discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and practice.
Has an outstanding track record and deep understanding of Nokia CNS Cloud Blueprint architecture (NCP). Experience in more than one Cloud area – NCP, OCP, AWS with strong IP networking background.
Typically requires 5 years relevant experience delivering OCP (open shift) platform and a graduate
Hands on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Automation technologies and has previously worked as an expert integrator troubleshooting complex problems in Cloud deliveries. BS in Engineering / Computer Science is required. Masters preferred.
Service Communication Proxy (SCP)
The SCP is the 5G core network function that allows service-based architecture to deliver its maximal benefit. It acts like a "switch" between network functions, simplifying interconnection between NFs. It provides load balancing, protocol adaptation and provides a single location to probe and observe signaling communication in the core.
Security Edge Protection Proxy (SEPP)
The Security Edge Protection Proxy enables secure interconnect between 5G networks. The SEPP ensures end-to-end confidentiality and/or integrity between source and destination network for all 5G interconnect roaming messages.
