Piping/ Mechanical Designer

Job Description & Skill Requirement

• Mechanical Designer with 5-15 years of experience of 2D AutoCAD drafting and Aveva 3D modelling experience of Piping and Mechanical Drawings  in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Midstream facilities, in compliance with ASME codes and API standards & general specifications

A. Aveva 3D modelling and AutoCAD 2D Design Experience for Piping and Mechanical Drawings: Piping Isometrics, Plot Plans, Equipment Layout, General Arrangement Drawings,

B. Experienced in Oil & Gas upstream, midstream or downstream facilities, or petrochemical facilities

C. Ability to go to field for  collect site information and support field work activities.

D. Responsible for working directly with site operations, technicians, and project teams to develop scope of work for LTTS

E. Communicate with site project engineer, site document controller, operations and LTTS team for project requirements

H. Interface with LTTS design team in India to coordinate about for project scope dicsussions and Design Review discussions

E. Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changes.

G. Experienced into Piping Codes, API and ASME standards and local standards in Texas

I. Work with vendors for any vendor specific items and update the relevant Equipment drawings.

I. Prepare and review Mechanical engineering discipline deliverables in AutoCAD 2D and 3D Model in Aveva 3D.

J. Quality Review and Validation of final deliverables before submission to client.

K. Ensure site safety and health protocols are followed

Minimum proficiencies and qualifications:

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical is required.

• Strong working knowledge of design codes including ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, TEMA and other API standards. Experience with European codes would be beneficial.

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software and 3D modelling.
