This position is for a Project / Team Manager role to join a growing aerospace team with L&T Technology Services (LTTS).

 

This role will report to the Program Manager, and will lead a team of engineers and supply chain analysts as they work to meet customer and LTTS goals. Customer management and employee development skills will be key to success.

 

This is considered a hybrid working position, meaning this role will enable working remotely from home several days per week, as well as working from our LTTS Windsor, CT office several days per week.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10+ team members, focusing on employee development, employee satisfaction, and employee performance management.
  • Manage several aerospace engineering projects, ensuring metrics such as On Time Delivery (OTD), Customer Satisfaction, and deliverable Quality are met
  • Build customer relationships and communicate project status and changes in regular customer meetings
  • Manage team member allocation assignments to various aerospace projects, matching resource capability with project requirements
  • Lead and/or support proposal generation for customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
  • Work interdepartmentally to support sales growth initiatives and activities
  • Establish standardized work instructions to enable scalability of the site and streamline management processes
  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying what went well and what can be improved
  • Be empowered to recommend and lead improvements across the organization

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Participate in interviewing and hiring activities
  • Support employee engagement activities and events
  • Assist in onboarding of new hires
  • Lead and/or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to drive continuous improvement across the site
  • Work with the Program Manager/Site Leadership to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for site evaluation and success

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience leading projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • 2+ years of experience in people leadership, with direct reports
  • Experience in supply chain management and/or engineering
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the aerospace industry
  • Exposure to engineering services and engineering outsourcing business practices
  • Exposure to program management Professional certification such as PMP
  • Experience in developing platforms for internal processes
  • Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets
  • An ability to build positive intercompany relationships and working with all levels of management
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and reporting skills
