Stress Engineer

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

This position is for a stress engineer to join a growing aerospace team with L&T Technology Services (LTTS). As an important part of the Engineering team here at LTTS, you will actively be providing critical value to our customers by performing engineering tasks in support of critical aerospace projects.

This role will work with the LTTS team, as well as our major aerospace customer, to perform stress analysis of a variety of aerostructures.

Primary Responsibilities and Desired Qualities

•              Perform hand calcs and FEA analysis on preliminary and detailed design

•              Support design optimization to meet requirements (weight, design space, cost, life) and ensure product safety and integrity

•              Experience using Ansys is preferred, but equivalent software is acceptable

•              Experience performing topological optimization studies

•              Experience supporting all types of testing through the product design and qualification process including random vibration, acoustic ring test, mechanical failure

•              Create analysis reports and lead design reviews

•              Ability to work with design teams, manufacturing, suppliers, customers and chief engineers

•              Experience working with Teamcenter or other PLM software

•              Ability to proactively take action to drive on-time results

•              Eager to learn and dedicated to working effectively

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

· 3-5 year(s) of relevant experience

· Outstanding communication and technical writing skills

· Have demonstrated mechanical aptitude

· Excellent customer service skills

· Must be a U.S. Citizen
