Certification Engineer
Job Description & Skill Requirement
Responsibilities of a Certification Engineer at Delta Flight Products:
• Data Review and Approval: Reviewing engineering data, designs, and procedures for proposed aircraft modifications.
• FAA Approvals: Ensuring that all modifications meet FAA regulations and obtain necessary certifications.
• Collaboration with Design and Fabrication Teams: Working closely with other engineering teams to ensure that modifications are designed and fabricated in a way that meets certification requirements.
• Airworthiness and Safety: Prioritizing airworthiness and safety in all certification activities.
• Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with all relevant FAA regulations and guidelines.
Key Aspects of Certification at Delta Flight Products:
• In-House Certification: Delta handles most certifications and approvals in-house, rather than relying on external agencies.
• Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs): Delta utilizes a team of DERs to review and approve certification data.
• Focus on Safety: The primary focus is on ensuring the safety and airworthiness of aircraft modifications and components
Qualification:
- Bachelors in Aerospace engineering
