The candidate will work on development of ATE functional products from customer requirements. This person also excels while working in a dynamic, fast moving environment and has excellent verbal and written
communication skills.

The position involves developing innovative test products used for Avionics, Communication and high-speed test systems, often involving complete rack and system design, Interface Test Adaptors, Cable Harnesses. The person in this position will work closely with Product design team to develop test components, sub-systems and test system design. This will include high speed control circuitry, digital communication systems, and control bus such as SPI, I2C and others, to develop a complete solution. Perform rack and stack layout and make equipment recommendations. Strong signal integrity background is important along with current test system development skills. You must work to insure that the test system product can be built, assembled, and maintained and supported.

Job Summary
• Provide technical and strategic leadership during the
development phase to define test system design concepts, specifications,
features, risks, schedules and budgets.
• Work effectively with other departments (Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality) and company management to solicit input and buy-in for development objectives.
• Generate plans and manage ATE product development throughout
life cycle (feasibility, development, launch and support).
• Define, implement, and maintain design practices.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of industry standard
resources and development tools.
• Perform other job related duties as required.

 

Qualification:

• Experienced in the Automated Test System architectural design using analog and digital control circuitry, Power Supplies, Switch Matrices, Test and Measurement Equipment.
• Able to begin with customer requirements, build ATE based on COTS DAQ or custom designed Hardware and develop detailed design documentation
• Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout tools
• Experience with test acquisition, PXI, cRIO products
• Comfortable developing and debugging serial communication
interfaces such as RS232, SPI, USB, PCI, and Ethernet
• Familiarity with NI TestStand is a plus
• Experience in design and development of Interface Test Adaptors using mass interconnect like Virginia Panel.

 

 

This position will fill a key role in the organization. The ideal candidate
will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years relevant working experience
• US Citizen
