Senior Design engineer- Door

Domain: Door Design – BIW/Closures, Catia V5

Position: Project Lead/Project Manager (4- 12 Years)- SME DOOR

Job Description:

1. Experienced in Design & Development of BIW Closures from the concept to mass production Design

2. Design Considering the Package, master sections, styling, vehicle regulation & performance

3. Experience in Door BIW Skin Feasibility check, Hinge axis fixing, Beam/Impact Member Layout fixing and Master sections Creation

4. Experience in Door BIW 3D modeling (Front & Rear Door OTR PNL, INR PNL, Frame ASSY, hinge, latch REINF’s, OTR, INR rail, UPR MBR)

5. Design stage interactions with digital designer, package in charge, electronics teams, door mechanism and other engineering teams.

6. OEM experience in Product Development with experience of complete life cycle. 7. Good knowledge in Sheetmetal design

8. Communication with onsite and understand the design modification

9. Should Have Experience with Asian / Japanese Customer 10. Intermediate checking with cross functional team and check Module level

11. Need to understand the Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

12. Guide team on continuous quality improvement 13. Discussion with Onsite & customer and align Maturation with Project schedule

14. Knowledge on Door Regulation for Asian and European market 15. Worked in alteast two complete life cycle of Door design

16. Knowledge on Product Quality, Product Finance, and cost 17. Have Experience in supplier selection based on complexity and tool cost
